Origin of the name

The “muikku” fish (or whitefish in English) is a specialty of the Saimaa region. This name was chosen for the gourmet restaurant as it conveys a sense of tradition and culture. It is a popular delicacy in the region and is considered as a superfood. Lastly, we are certain that the name will be a perfect fit for a restaurant that prides itself on the quality of its ingredients.

Concept description

Muikku Gourmet will offer a variety of refined local dishes to its guests who seek to be immersed in the Finnish culture through a delicious sensory food experience. The ingredients, coming from the hotel’s vegetable garden as well as from local farmers, will be organic, healthy, seasonal, and of high quality. Everyday catches from the fishermen working at AARRE Village will be served. The guests will be able to discover traditional Finnish meals revisited in a modern and refined way. The restaurant will be set in an elegant but comfortable atmosphere and will be open for two dinner services only.

“Pieni juhla” is all about sharing

Origin of the name

The name “Pieni Juhla” (“small feast” in English) was chosen in order to convey a sense of community and to allow the customer to understand the concept instantly.

Breakfast

The breakfast buffet (included for all the guests in the hotel as well as home owners) will offer classic European food consumed in the morning as well as local specialities such as riispuuro and ruisleipä. The guests will also have the possibility to order eggs, pancakes, or porridge from the chef.

Concept description

Pieni Juhla will offer small bites in plates to share with friends and family. The “à la carte” menu will include regional and traditional cuisine that are internationally inspired. The restaurant’s ambiance will be casual, trendy and family friendly. There will be a kids menu available, offering a small selection of sharing plates. The atmosphere of the restaurant will revolve around sharing and bonding. The guests will be able to eat there for breakfast lunch and dinner. The breakfast will be served in the form of a buffet where everyone can pick what they like the most.

Origin of the name

The bar will be surrounded with glass walls, providing a panoramic view of Lake Saimaa.

Concept description

Saimaan Baari will allow its guests to enjoy a sumptuous panoramic view of the lake while savoring a variety of cocktails made by mixologists. The key location of the bar will enable the guests to consume their drinks in the common room as well as in the smoking room. The lounge music will allow for an elegant and enjoyable atmosphere where everyone can socialize and get together.
